Kavya Reddy Vankela

Kavya Reddy Vankela is majoring in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Arizona. Originally from Bangalore, India, Kavya has always been fascinated by the space, the universe, and rockets, inspired by her dad’s stories. Her dream of exploring Mars has shaped much of her academic and career aspirations.
Kavya is actively involved with the University of Arizona’s AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics) student club, where she contributes to various rocket-building projects, and she has hands-on experience with high-power rocket launches. In addition to her studies, Kavya enjoys cooking, creating content for her Instagram page, writing blogs, traveling, drawing, and reading books.
With a passion for space exploration, Kavya plans to pursue a PhD in Aerospace Engineering and aspires to lead NASA’s Mars mission, focusing on the future colonization of Mars.
