3 STEPS TO PARTICIPATE IN AFF:

  1. Complete the first 4 workshops 

  2. Submit Teacher Agreement/Contract form

  3. Fill out and submit the AFF Team Application Form

  4. Once you have been selected to participate in AFF, you must submit the Photo Release Form. Download AFF Photo Release Form >>

First four workshops below:

1. Spending Plans

Participants will learn the importance of evaluating their spending habits, and how to create a spending plan that best fits their lifestyle. Participants will be introduced to the spending plan process and will explore expenses related to major expenditures.

2. Savings

Participants will explore the difference between savings and investing and why they are an essential part of financial planning. Participants will learn how to utilize the time value of money to its greatest advantage while saving and investing money. Participants will also learn the importance of goal setting and process to follow when saving and investing.

3. Credit Basics

Participants will learn about credit, loans, what a credit card is and how it is different from other types of credit. Participants will learn how to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of using credit, as well as analyzing Schumer boxes.

4. Credit Reports

Participants will learn the difference between a credit report and a credit score, as well as how to interpret a credit report. Participants will also learn how their credit history affects their credit score and they will explore the importance of having a positive credit history, and how to build and maintain positive credit history.
