Torey has a Master’s Degree in Family & Consumer Sciences from the University of Arizona and a B.A. from Oberlin College, where she studied public policy. She is currently working on her PhD in Family & Consumer Sciences and her research focuses on food waste. She has long standing interests in financial decision making and sustainability practices, and especially loves topics, such as household food shopping, where these two interests overlap.
Outside of her work at the U of A, Torey enjoys being a mom to two young boys and going on adventures with her family. She loves camping, hiking, biking, reading and trying to grow food in her backyard.
