Take Charge Cat Ambassador

REQUIRED SKILLS
Superb presentations skills,  comfortable with speaking to diverse audiences, a flexible schedule, strong interpersonal skills,  positive attitude, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to improvise.

RECOMMENDED SKILLS
Content Development-
Strong writing skills, detail oriented, high interest in personal finance curriculum, and ability to work independently.

Event Planning– Strong promotional skills, organizational skills, marketing ability, experience in social media, and design experience.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Every Take Charge Cat is responsible for presenting personal finance workshops to college students and students in grades 6 – 12 in the greater Tucson community, and contributing to the overall functioning of the team. The personal finance areas taught are: Spending Plans, Savings, Credit Cards, Credit Reports, Invest in Yourself, Paychecks, and Identity Theft.

In addition to workshop presentations, students will have the opportunity to serve on a committee tasked with writing or event planning responsibilities.

COMMITTEE  RESPONSIBILITIES
Consumer Jungle– The successful candidate will form part of the Consumer Jungle committee and assist with article writing, editing, and coordinating online article writing competitions.

Arizona Financial Face-Off– The successful candidate will form part of the Arizona Financial Face-Off committee and assist with planning, preparing, and executing our annual financial competition that takes place in April.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES
Applicant must be enrolled at the University of Arizona; hiring preference will be given to rising sophomores and juniors.  Reliable access to a personal vehicle is strongly encouraged.   Availability for Monday night scheduling meetings is required.
